EGR

Hy guys cn I just remove the pipe between the exhaust and intake manifold, block it off, and leave the EGR valve?

Yes, it wont function and will throw a code unless its been tuned out of the PCM

Most EGR delete kits come with ample block off plates to remove everything. Why not use them

I would just leave it there, EGR back in the carb'ed days did make a difference because they were controlled only by ported and manifold vacuum. But now days its controlled by a solenoid commanded by the computer. It only comes on during cruising situations to reduce the formation of NOx( Oxides of Nitrogen). It doesnt rob any power because of the fact that it isnt on during WOT situtations. You wont feel a difference.
