lt1 harness trouble
i had my lt1 bolted all in and power throughout the harness, however no fuel injectors were operating and no spark. i checked the leads to the optispark and according to the haynes manual, with my results, i had a bad connection somewhere. after i pulled it back out the only real issue i saw (aside from the harness being old and having a lot of possibilities) was that an injector plug wasnt all the way on. can this be what the issue was? if not, can anyone think of what my problem was?

Also, there is both 12v switched and 12v constant going to the PCM, if you still have the C100 from the LT1 PCM check and see if you are getting 12v to both injector wires and the ignition wire coming out of the PCM.

Re: lt1 harness trouble
i will check but i am pretty sure i had power to the injector wires and the coil wires, i also had put on one of the vats bypass modules on in order to get the fuel on.

Re: lt1 harness trouble
Only thing is VATS on an LT1 doesn't turn off the injectors, it turns off the fuel pump, the pump will prime but will not come on after the engine is started and will run for about 3 seconds.

Re: lt1 harness trouble

Depending on the year of the harness, the injectors used ignition power from the underhood fuse block (either 15A or two 7.5A fuses) and the coil used another ignition fuse (whic I can't remember right now). Make sure there is ignition power during cranking at the injectors and the coil. There is a difference between hot in run and hot in start and run.
