LS1 conversion pans

I'm not sure if there are any available currently, but I got an email from mast motorsports (not sure how I got on that list) and they claim a summer release for a conversion pan, no mention of price though.

I guess I should mention that they claim it'll fit A G and F bodies (1st-3rd) they're cast aluminum, are a structural pan use factory type gaskets, have AN fittings for oil coolers and other features.

Sounds cool, but also expensive.

I like my fbody pan, fits perfect. I imagine you are right about it going to be expensive, being cast. Oh well.

it doesn't really matter to me as much, because I'm putting an LT1 in my car, but I thought the info might be useful. They might have options when it comes out, like you might be able to buy it without AN fittings or windage trays ect.

Re: LS1 conversion pans

Most hotrod and aftermarket pans seem to be a halfway point between Fbody and truck pans. Thats just fine for classic cars like 1st and 2nd gens, but cars with an extremely low CG like 3rd gens often have to splurge on the Fbody pan for ground clearance

Having seen MAST's products before, Im sure the new pan will be a thing of beauty and extremely expensive. Not exactly ideal for 3rd gen swaps when a tried and true Fbody pan is available for around $250 brand new
