Mmmm...burnouts
Me and a few friends took a trip up to Springfield, IL today for a day at the Power Tour. In our caravan of vehicles were 3 LS swapped third gens and a '91 Firehawk
Here's some nice fatty burnouts from myself and my friend with a '91 GTA with LS2/TH350 swap, his car runs 9.80's. Both cars were being watched by one of the photographers at the Power Tour. In fact, he had me park out in the middle of one of the city intersections and block off traffic while he shot some photos of the car. Maybe we will see it in an upcoming issue of Camaro Performers

Jon- I was telling him about your car and how you did my harness. You should bring it out to the power tour next year
Aaron- We hit up McDonalds on the way back to 55 and I think we were on the road by 7:00

Very cool, I wish you guys were local. Only asshats thirdgen "know it all" around here. I even got a "What's in it? a 4barrel 350?" For some people, evolution stopped in the early 80s.

Yea I can't really afford new tires at the moment, so I had to use some discipline.

I can one up that, I've had someone ask me if my car was a four-berator or fuel injection.

Re: Mmmm...burnouts
LOL, my nittos are old and need to be replaced, so i had a "F it" moment, i only have a set of radials right now to replace them, and i am holding off because they spin in 3rd and it SUCKS.
BTW, my rev limiter is at 7100.

Re: Mmmm...burnouts
I had thought about changing my limiter to 7,000-7,100, but according to my base dyno run, I didn't gain anything over like 6,700. I'm going to wait until I get a good rear end with steeper gears and maybe tweak with it some more and see what she'll do. The 3.42's in it now are HORRIBLE with this cam.
Yea, the Trex is such a high end screamer, i had no choice to get he mos out of it, i am happy with it though, a 7000 RPM blast past anyone with the dual 3 inch and 1 chambers gets attention that is not always wanted, LOL.

Re: Mmmm...burnouts
Then you have more restraint than even me. Believe it or not, that's the only burnout I've done in the car since finishing the swap. And I only did it because my friend knows the owner of the parking lot and he didn't mind lol

I saw it was in an empty parking lot, otherwise I may have said something earlier. I've seen a lot worse on Youtube.
We need to watch how we are perceived out in the community. There are enough bad apples out there to spoil it for the rest of us in this barrel.
Just sayin' . . .

At first I was like "how is he losing??", then I saw the black car at the bottom of the screen come flying up on you. And I was like "oh...
