Hi guys, I finished my LS1 swap a month ago and all I can say is I LOVE it. You guys here are the best. You all have helped get it done, wheather you know it or not. After a weekend of local test driving, I drove it to work the next monday. I've driven it to work every day since. This may not seem like much to you, but the trip work is 65 miles one way. It is a LS1 from a 2000 model Z28. I installed a small cam,580/228 A set of LS6 heads CNC ported by Advance Induction, Patriot performance springs and a set of Yella Terra rockers, Comp hardened pushrods. The bottom end is completly stock. So I was driving home this evening and heard they having street night at Z-MAX. I said to myself, I'm going. First run , 14.09@112.02 , traction was non existant. Run#2, I managed a 13.63@110.01 still no bite, had to really baby it first & second gear. I shifted into fourth at the first MPH light. I tried to go through in third the first run,but hit the rev limiter. It would hit it at 6000 RPM. 2 more runs pretty much the same. Oh I forgot to mention it's a T56 . This was with no custom tuning. I have an appointment for tuning and Dyno at PCM forless friday. Alvin's the man on LS type engines. I'll post some numbers. Also want to know the best part? 28 MPG on the hiway to work @65/70 MPH. Did I say I LOVE it. Anyone know what would be a good ET for that kind of MPH ? It has a 3:42 ratio rear end. Thanks again to all, Dean Jonas.

That mph is at least high-12 ETs with traction. That's assuming granny shifting.
With 4.10 gears, shifting at 6k, I was going through the traps at 104+ mph at 5500 RPMs with 26" tall DOT slicks. My 60' times were junk, which kept me in the mid-13's (this is at 5800' elevation). Also no tuning, stock 2000 SS LS1/T56 with LS6 intake, nice air intake set-up, and long tube headers.
