I'm seriously considering taking on some side jobs here considering my 10 bolt blew up last night and I have no way of buying the 12 bolt that I need.
Basically what I'm considering is if anyone would like to drop off their car and their swap parts (engine, transmission, torque arm/cross member, etc.) , I can do the swap for you, for a fee. I haven't yet determined the exact dollar amount, but it will be on the cheaper side definitely. Seriously interested parties can discuss cost with me via private messaging or email. At this time, I am only considering LSx swaps, as that's all I've done and I don't feel comfortable taking on a side job with an LT1 if I don't have any experience with them.
Terms of agreement as of right now: 1) Your wiring harness must come from a reputable source, I can refer you to Pocket to have one made, or if you buy one from Painless or one of their competitors, that's fine too. I prefer not to mess with a home-made harness simply because I want everything to go as smooth as possible, no offense to any of you do-it-yourselfers out there. 2) You've got to give me all major parts needed prior to me turning the first wrench. I say this because I don't want to have someone's car stuck in my garage and you don't have the money to buy your transmission or torque arm or something, and it just sits taking up space in my garage. I don't mind making runs to AutoZone to get a belt, or a bolt or something small, as long as you paypal me the money for it before I buy it. 3) I don't do exhaust. I will install your headers and that's it. I can refer you to a great shop that does exhaust, they made my exhaust system on my swap. 4) I will be paid up front. You will get at the very least, a weekly update on the car. I will respond to your phone calls and emails within 12 hours, and you will be kept in the loop. I will be doing this mostly on weekends with some time spent in weekday evenings when my work schedule allows.
5) I can do manual swaps and auto swaps, but if you have an auto going in the car, I may or may not get the speedometer working. It depends on the year of your car (electric or manual speedometer) and if you will need the Dakota digital converter box. 6) If I have to drop the fuel tank and change out your fuel pump to an upgraded pump, I will charge an extra $150 on top of your total cost. People with upgraded fuel pumps already need not be concerned about this. 7) I will only work on one car at a time. This ensures that I am not overwhelmed with work, and that I keep these swaps as timely as possible. 8) Your cost for the swap will include removal of old drivetrain. If your car has no engine and transmission, a portion of your total cost will be deducted. 9) If after completing the swap, and it is determined that an issue with one or more of the parts supplied for the swap is causing a no-start problem, or other serious issue, it will be your responsibility to have it checked out and fixed. This swap will be considered 100% labor. This protects me from bearing any liability from your purchase of used parts, and/or an issue with the wiring harness, which I stated the wiring harness will not be made by me.
If I think of anything else I will edit this post. If you have specific questions, or are interested in getting this done, please send me a Private Message or an email to BlueZee28@att.net
These will be done in the St Louis area, obviously you will have to bring the car to me, I'm not coming to pick it up.

Hmm, maybe, all that needs to be done is to hook up the battery cables, fill the cooling system and turn the key (I think) and it should start
I am just lazy though. Because after I start it up, I have to pull the trans again. woohoo.
