87 Firebird SB 350 in car cam swap
I'm considering swapping the cam shaft on my Firebird while I have the intake manifold off for other maintenance and since I have a spare cam shaft from another project. The car has a Chevy SB 350 installed.
Is there enough clearance to perform the swap if I remove the radiator? There is no AC. I can't tell for sure, but it looks like part of the nose support structure may get in the way. How difficult is it to remove and reinstall the harmonic balancer (I have a puller and installer)?
Any tips or warnings before I go ahead with the swap? Is there anything else I should replace while I'm in there?

Not enough clearance.
However, not hard to create enough... remove the vertical piece at the hood latch mechanism. Which might be the part you're referring to.
Very eeeeeeeezie to install the damper, with its tool. Hardest thing (which is not hard) will be holding the crank still as you press it on.
