C100 question

I have my C100 down to essential wires but have a couple of pins I have some questions on. I used the pinout for a 1987 Firebird http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s..._1987_C100.gif (one of the ones Pocket posted over on fbodyrescue). Looking at the necessary pins that need to be retained they are:

Necessary pins
A4 Red Power dist block - IGN
B4 Ppl Starter solenoid
C5 Ppl Wiper
C6 Dk Grn Wiper
C7 Pnk Wiper
D5 Gry Wiper
D6 Wht Tach
E5 Tan Oil press gauge
F4 Pnk IGN
F7 Lt Grn Coolant gauge
F8 Brn Backup lights - man trans
G5 Red Power dist block - fuseblock
G8 Dk Blue Backup lights

However, I don't have a wire in F7 and no light green wires for that matter. Now what?

Also, by the example above F8 is back up lights and I have a pin there, but it leads to the connector below (I think it's the alternator plug). I assume I can get rid of that one since mine is an auto, BUT the problem is that I have nothing in G8? Then in G7 I also have a wire that leads to the same plug.

So what do I keep for backup lights? and what do I do about the coolant gauge? The plug below is where F8 and G7 leads to.

Re: C100 question

By that diagram F5 is coolant gauge
F7 is backup lights (man trans only)
F8 is alt, which you have pictured

G8 is not used with auto trans. Auto cars have the reverse switch on the shifter assembly under the console

Re: C100 question

Ok so I can get rid of the Alt plug since it's part of the LSx harness already. But how did you conclude that F5 is the coolant based on that diagram? Says it's supposed to be MFI.

I assume this is just something you know from experience?
