How to swap a gen 1 sbc intake on a lt1?
I've been researching some post online and I was wondering if all that is needed is to re-drill the bolt holes in the correct location to match the Lt heads on a gen 1 sbc intake? I was looking for a different intake choice other than the carb'd gmpp Lt intake since i plan on doing a blowthrough setup. I was planning to run the Edelbrock Vic. Jr. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks J.R.

His notes
"The overlap between SBC and LTx patterns makes 4 of the bolt holes unusable.
I didn't put forth the effort to weld up the holes and redrill (or do the same to the heads), so I sealed those holes off on the intake with NPT plugs.
The center 4 holes are the ones I drilled and threaded in my heads to suit the intake.
I had no sealing issues with this, using Mr Gasket brand "race" gaskets."
You have no coolant to intake so you don't need a bolt either side of the coolant passages for sealing like you do with a Gen 1 engine .
You could do as you say and redrill the center 4 holes to suit LT1 pattern

With the super Vic E, vortec, does it require anything with modifying the bolt holes, or the angle of the bolts?
