So you are out a harness too?

 

Well its his own doing. If even now he just said, send me return shipping and I'll return your harness...done deal. But he hasnt. He's been content to just lead us on.

Maybe its an embarrasment and/or pride issue, I dont know. We would all understand if he let us in just a bit. Dont need details just a heads up whats going on.

Thats why I said, maybe someone should just go get them. Maybe that might ease his burden.

 

NO, no. Got my harness done some time ago.

 

It really sucks to see these threads. He's been a huge asset to the thirdgen community. He's one of the main reasons I even attempted to do an LSx swap in the first place. Hopefully everyone gets squared away sometime soon.

 

Ok we are coming up on a month sice this thread was started. Has anyone received their harness yet? The last six texts I have sent have gone unanswered as well as multiple calls and voicemails.

Me either. I left him a message Sunday, but got no reply.

 

at least Im not the only one calling then. maybe if everyone calls him on a daily basis he will get this crap straightened out.

 

I hate to bug him, but "the squeaky wheel gets the grease", right?

I saw that. He can't even provide you with a tracking number?

I left him another VM message yesterday, but still haven't heard back from him.

 

No tracking number. I also asked him to confirm the address for me but not a peep from him. He has his phone on him as he just texted me but when I called it went to VM.

I am getting less and less patient.

 

Jon just sent me a text stating that he will send my harness back to me as-is once he gets home. So hopefully I will see it here in the next week or so. I asked him for a tracking number once he sends it.

 

Understandably so. I think we all are. Maybe he will get us all straightened out once he gets home.

 

Poor Jon, my harness he did for me came out fantastic last year, all labelled and very easy to follow.

I agree with what was said before, he's been a great resource and asset to our car community. I hope things don't sour because of all this

 

This. It sucks because even if we don't lose the informational resource that he is, the lack of communication sours attempting ventures like this in the future for the entire community.

 

I has the exact same interaction with him this morn. We'll see what the weekend brings.

 

Any update from anyone? I have asked him three times when he will be home but he wont respond to me. I also havent gotten a tracking number and this thursday will be three weeks since he said his dad shipped it to me.

 

I texted Jon over the weekend to see when I should expect my harness, but got no response.

That really sucks that you haven't got your harness yet BlueZee. Do you think it was really sent since he can't even get you a tracking number?

 

Does anyone know where he lives? I mean I would pay someone to go pick-up my harness and take it to the shipping company along with paying for the shipping of course. I guess that's what you were talking about Ssantac.

 

He just texted me back. He said he won't be home until July 5th. I just Google mapped his address from my house. It's about a 10 hour drive. I'm considering going up to pick mine up in person since my friends are all meeting up that way on the 7th. Kind of a dual purpose trip. I'm trying to work out all of the details now.

 

If you go please get mine as well.

And no I dont believe it was ever sent. Everytime I ask for the tracking number I get either "theres nothig I can do from four states away", or no response at all. I dont understand why he cant call home from four states away and ask for the tracking number IF it was indeed sent.

Great Ssantac, I would appreciate that. Anyone that wants me to get their harness will have to let Jon know. Otherwise I'm sure he won't just give them all to me.

I will pitch in as well. I will text Jon and tell him you will be picking mine up if you want me to. Otherwise if he has an issue with you taking my harness just ask him to read this thread as evidencethat I would like you to get it for me.

Jon called my dad and I just now and he was very appologetic and said that everybodies harnesses are getting shipped back when he gets back home this weekend.

 

Thats good to hear. Lets hope he indeed does it and saves dprest the trip!

 

its sad to see this thread and know what is happening, pocket was such an amazing guy and very helpful on helping here and doing peoples harness..... i hope he can figure out his priorites and get stuff straight

 

My dad told him on the phone, he has no problems with Jon's work. His work is very good and he's very talented, and I've been super happy with the two harnesses prior, it's just the lack of communication that's driving my dad bonkers. Anyways, I don't want to say anything else on the subject until after this weekend and give him a chance to settle things straight.

 

I'd appreciate it if you could get mine too...just let me know

Its sad to see this thread but its important for any newbies coming in here reading this that not one single person is saying that Pocket's work and knowledge base is a problem.There was and still is a high demand for his services.We all know that life can get the better of us and change all plans.He has been one of the most influential members on this forum.His posts gave me the courage to attempt doing the harness myself which worked out great for me.

With that reputation he has Im sure he will do anything he can to resolve the above concerns when he returns.This thread shouldnt take anything away from his name I hope.Good luck guys on your swaps aswell.

Just after my last post...he called me and said he shipped it out today, and gave me a tracking number.

 

I was supposed to get a refund today. still havent got it and its 9:15pm central time

 

Well you've got it now, and the harnesses will go out monday. Ill be sending them myself, so no issues this time

Every other harness I had is sent, delivery dates wed-fri of this week. PM me if you need a tracking number, Ive called some back already

Im sorry it came to this, but I feel thats as right as I can make it. I have zero free time to do this anymore and had no idea it would dry up to nothing as fast as it did

Hey Jon call me when you get my text or read this. Our pre-paynent was $300 + 25 for shipping and your refund was for $230.

 

 

Jon, the very first harness you built for me you charged me $230 to do it. That one I paid with paypal and it was in 2009.

The second harness you bumped up the price to $300 and I paid with a money order. That was another LSx swap harness for our 89 Camaro. That was in 2010 or early 2011.

The harness that was lost in the mail is the one in question and was also $300 and was also paid with a money order, and I specifically remember asking if you would honor the $300 price from the second harness as I believe you originally wanted $350 or so for this LT1 harness. You did in fact honor the $300 price from before because I am a multiple repeat customer, but yet when you gave me a refund for the lost LT1 harness you onky gave me $230...

I would like a tracking number on the two harnesses that you found to send me from a scrap yard and I would also like a 100% refund. I am still waiting for an additional $100 (25 or 30 was sent for shipping).
