My guess is he hit about 129 or 130 at around the 11.5 second mark. Given the amount of wheelspin that is evident for the entirety of 2nd gear, I don't see how it isn't possible. That's much nearer to 9 seconds of full throttle and tire smoke out of a 6 liter boosted by 11 lbs. Give my LS1 11 lbs and if it didn't explode I imagine it would 0 - 130 8 seconds or less. Remember, he wasn't starting at 0, neither was he hooked up.
I think this setup is different than the 5.3 that he originally put the whipple on in the green bird.
The big jump 70-80 is complete wheel spin on the shift. Catching traction the speedo gets a little more tame but still buries the needle

I dont have any idea how fast it topped out when I let off. The 120 speedo only goes so far then gets stuck around the 140 mark... not that I had any business going that fast. Dumb oin my part

I agree with Proskilllsx on the count. I count hammer down at about 3 seconds in to the video and throttle lift at about 12 seconds. So about 9 seconds to go from 40mph to 130 if the speedo is close.

Re: lets see some vids of your lsx/ltx swaps....

Guess I'll add mine to the bunch. Its not fast or anything. Just a B-body swap LT1 with bolt-ons.

Some Idle and Rev

6spd going through 1st to top of 3rd. I have a 93' T56 and it more widely spaced gears, 1st is 3.36:1 compared to a later T56 which has 2.66:1.

And the last time the car was at the drag strip as an automatic.

I live in the 13's, but aspire to live in the 11's. However when I finally reach the 11's everyone will have moved on to the 10's cause I took too long getting there.

Perhaps these and a big cam will help me out. Already got the rest of the goodies.

Short block is with the shop now getting built.

ok, well how about this.
the trans is a 4l80e with a 1:1 3rd gear
the gear is a 3.55
he lets out at 4,800 rpm (speedo reads 130-140 or whatever)

im getting 104mph if he has zero converter slip and a 26" tire. converters have slip, though, so i would say hes doing around 95-100mph.

He let off the gas at 4800 rpm in third gear...simple algebra will show that the numbers dont add up.

37 mph to 95 in 9 seconds? Well that's not very fast. Maybe it's really a blown 6 cylinder. Something doesn't make sense but I won't pretend to be smart enough to say what it is.
I ready for some new videos though

tach read well over 6k when he went to 3rd gear. so it can pull that high no problem.

if he let off at 3500, why did it continue to accelerate to 4800?

In the interest of getting things back on track This was the car's first day out when traction was non-existent. The transmission was struggling to hit 3rd gear before the rev-limiter at 7,100 rpm as you can hear just before the 8th mile. May take a little bit for the edit to complete before it's available.

lol, that's part of the reason i'm putting a clutch type trans in the car.

here's another: go to 1:58 for an "attempt" at a second gear pull

I'm good man, ill set back and watch the aftermath, rods flying, rear ends hitting the ground, tranny slipping, bearings spinning on one axis, heads and block cracking, opti sparks degrading.

Not a particularly fast car, for sure not a pretty car, but a daily driver that gets racing shoes on weekends and takes out track champions.

GM specifically made a "LSX" block. Don't know if it's considered gen 3 or 4 but the blocks actual name is LSX.

Usually when people write LSx they are talking about a ls1, ls2, ls3/6/7...
