Rebuilding/porting my LT1 heads, need advive on good hardware!!
Hey guys, I'm finally getting my LT based 383 for my 88 and I need advice on getting some good hardware for them. I'm having the heads opened up to 2.02/1.60 and what would be a good valve set to use? Plus I lost ALL of the stock valve shims for the heads, where can I find new stock replacements? any advice on a good spring set? I'm thinking about running either of these 2 Lloyd Elliot cams with the Edge 3200 stall that I already have.
232/240 .578/.574 110 LSA - 2200-6400 RPM
236/244 .579/.578 110 LSA - 2400-6600 RPM
Any help on this would be awesome and I'm in a big rush to finally get this motor done.

Whoever does your valve job would have shims. And they would use the correct amount to set the seat pressure for the given cam.

you wont be able to use any of the stock stuff anyways. youll need new springs, retainers, locators, and shims. you will need to machine the spring seat areas for added clearance for the springs, as well.

I'm aware of that, lol. I was just wondering what would be a good hardware set for the cam(s) I'd want to use.

Ok here's my next question, I found these on ebay from a seller I've dealt with before with good results. Has anyone here used these valves?

Also, would this kit work well in my application?

Some help here would be great guys....
