Fuel injector sizing question

Hello everyone let me first start off by saying my build is 5.3 turbo LS Ls6 intake cam ported tb running a 76 turbo. I'm running 80lb injectors so I can upgrade down the road without paying for another set. My question may be a simple one , are the to big for my setup ? It's running really rich with exhaust smoke and smell of fuel . Def running super rich myvwidebabs even tells me so , Are these injectors to big or is it in the tune. Can I have it tune to have these injectors not dump so much fuel. In other words can I lower the duty cycle low enough for them to work properly ?

Thanks for all your help

Re: Fuel injector sizing question

Its in the tune. Anytime injector size is changed, a tune is required. If the size was significant (+10lbs) driving the car without a tune risks washing the cyl walls down and ruining the engine
