how to make speedo work?

hey guys, i know this is INCREDIBLY vague, but....

me and my stepdad did an LT1 swap in my 91 RS, i've been driving it for a few months now, but, there are a few things we never got around to doing, now, both of our shops are slammed and neither of us can get find a good time to get together to finish the little things.

so.... here's the vague question?

How do i make the speedometer work with the LT1 computer?

Please ask me what you need to know from me to be able to answer this question intelligently. i'll provide you with whatever info i know how to answer.

as for the harness, he did the majority of it, and familiarized himself with what wires do what and go where than i did, i just ran wires where he told me to and made the loom.

I have (some) schematics and diagrams, but, i feel like there's probably more to it than just finding the wire coming out of the firewall and plugging it into a pin on the ECU somewhere............... isn't it???
or....... is it???

the speed sensor coming from the transmission IS hooked up (otherwise it wouldn't shift) so, the computer knows the speed of the car, but my gauge doesn't..

sorry for the vagueness, let me know what info you need from me if any..

THX

Re: how to make speedo work?

Is the car gauge digital??. From what your saying it sounds like it is.But if it isn't I know there are kits out there for the conversion.
