Can I use a different 3rd Gen Harness to Start My LQ9 Wiring?

I'm currently in the process of building an lq9 for my 83 trans am and I'd like to get started on the wiring. What I'd like to do is buy another 3rd gen harness to work with so I can keep driving my bird around. I would think this is possible since you're cutting out the majority of the wiring anyway but I'd like to make sure. Thanks!

you could, but remember that the c207 and c100 can change from year to year and engine to engine. I *highly* recommend getting a service manual for your specific model. that way you can repin the second harness to the setup in your vehicle.

Any 82-84 harness should work no problem. If you're ok with repinning a few things and adding a few extra connectors, any 82-92 harness will work

The latter requires a broader knowledge for interchanges

I don't have a problem with this. You should have seen what I had to do to a vw CAN-BUS harness to make it work with a 81 rabbit. I just need the right wiring diagram.

Thanks guys
