LS1, increase rev limiter without remapping of tuning?
Quick question before I drag out of state to tune. Have built h/c/i shorty lifters hardened push rods and 42lb injectors ls1 dynoed 450rwhp at 5k. Runner set limiter at 5k cause fuel pump was too small and could keep up pressure past 5k. So upgraded pump finally. Do I need to have map retunned above 5k now or can I just have the limiter increased. Want to see what it actually makes above 5k. With cam and valve train setup should be able to take it to 7k but want at least 6500

The map should have extended above the rev limiter settings. Do you have any tuner software?

That's what I figured just wasn't sure. All still pretty new to me. No, no kind of software.
