My car is finally running good. Except it won't run with a maf sensor hooked up.I tried my friends maf sensor and will just die. Also after 15 minutes it will start to run terrible. After warm up. I think its running rich

 

This is a bit hard to understand, i would say that if it dies with the maf installed buy a new one. your friends maf does the same thing and it's in working condition? I would check the codes and buy a brand new maf, if that don't work i would buy a new opti just to have one in stock. You never know when you'll need it.

 

I have two spare good optis. Alittle silly I know.yea his came off a running ta and mine is brand new. I only have one code and that's when tye maf is unplugged

I will .I have a good mechanic tryin to help me out.as soon as this lt1 runs right I'm throwin the rearend in.My 3.70 has been sitting in the corner waiting

 

On my tpi engine I had the same problem and it was due to my fuel regulator it wasnt regulated to exact psi so after that it idle with maf on though.
