LT1 swap speed density question

Im looking at a rebuilt 93 lt1 thats SD setup and i was wondering should i keep the SD or get the parts to switch over to MAF? not reall to familiar with SD. so was just wondering, all i plan to do is just have headers and exhaust mods that i have on my 350 tpi put on and thats all the mods i plan on for the lt1.

FWIW.
The 92/93 ECM's have lots of well documented problems so if you were going to do anything your would upgrade to the 94/95 LT1 setup that has both MAP and MAF.
They run primarily on the MAF sensor with the MAP as a backup

The intake is different, the MAP plugs right into it on the passenger side, also might need the fuel rail because the cross over is different but you might be able to make that work. And of coarse the MAF sensor and pig tail, and you can probably just pin out the harness yourself

No need to change the intake , just remote mount the MAP sensor like done on the TBI cars/ trucks

A 94/95 LT1 computer and wiring harness

There are adapters available to use the early Optispark with the late harness if required

If you can prove your no longer available 92/93 ECM is good it can be worth some $$$ to offset the swap costs
