Project Hulk, what to do?
Starting to work on my drag camaro, interior is stripped for roll cage. Still no motor/trans/or rearend. That is until yesterday, my cowork offered me his TBSS ls2 for a price i couldnt turn down. But it has a spun rod bearing we torn it down scoring is at a minium. But the dilemma is my racing partner is hard down saying selling it and get a iron block. Power goals are only a measly 600-650 on gas or FI. My main goal is to run mid 9s dont really car what max power is.

LS2 block has been proven...iirc the record was 7.999 in the 1/4 with a LS2 block (not internals). My buddy runs mid/high 8's in his stock bottom end LS2 with a lot juice.
So I wouldn't worry too much, plus you save around 80-100lbs.

Looks like building the LS2 it is, this time i was probably going to do a carb setup. Would like to do a 402 setup but i know that 364 can make some power. ls3 heads and big cam.
