stand alone harness.
Before I get into my harness I just wanted to know what sensors are getting removed and or modified. Possibly what sensors are in the stand alone. If any1 can point me in the right direction. I think I'm going to try but if all else fails maybe I can get one from pocket haha

Re: stand alone harness.
What setup are you going with? (engine, trans, A/C etc).
I kept nearly every sensor, except for the rear O2 sensors. My oil pressure sensor in the block goes straight to my oil gauge, so the computer doesn't see the oil pressure. I did keep the water temp sensor so the computer can tell my fan to turn on.
I have my IAT (intake air temp), MAF, TPS, IAC, H2O, front O2 on both sides and I think that is it for engine specific sensors. You still have some other stuff. All in all the wiring is easy... Making it look nice is not. My harness is good, it works and looks fairly decent, and I still might get Pocket to build me one later on down the line just for the esthetics.

Re: stand alone harness.
Was just curious. Looking around. And one I thought about us I g from ls1tech was for my 2000 vortec 5.3. But almost right way the knock sensor is depinned. I just wanted to know what basically is required to let her run. 1 for a better understanding but mostly so ik I'm not screwing up haha.
Basically a 5.3 auto no ac. I already have a sensor for my fans so I'm not worried about the comp. Running fans through the ecm.
But like I said it seemed like it was thinning out alot. Some that I thought was a for sure need. But if it's literally a handful of sensors like that plus ignition and fuel stuff. I think I can handle it then lol

Honestly, I never really did any serious wiring before this. I followed Pockets how to stuff on here, some info from LT1tech (cheapest place I know of to get your computer tuned to take out VATS and the extra stuff) and something I found on a BMW forum and off I went. It's the most daunting part of it, and for me, I actually enjoyed it.

Yea. I had just started to get into things.. huge mess right now btw. But I started to pull the loose wires and one went to knock sensor and I was starting to panic. Like I double checked to see what I did wrong but it appears I'm right on track. Thanks for the encouragement. Just gonna wait till pockets pictures come up in the next few days or so.
Re: stand alone harness.
In the additional info thread there is a LS1 harness diagram showing all the main engine sensors. You need 100% of these. Extras like trans control, AC, relays etc can be added later
