Identify this connector (stumped the chump)
I cannot for the life of me figure out what this connector went to. The other end is a rust colored fusible link at the radiator core support. I want to think it goes to the blower motor relay connector (red wire) at the firewall, but it seems impossible since it is so close to alternator.

On the other hand, this jumper (white wire) off the distributor coil is the same type of connector and is close to the blower motor connector. It seems natural to plug it in but that doesn't jive with the wiring diagrams I have. If this connector didn't go to the blower motor (red wire) then where did it go?

Re: Identify this connector (stumped the chump)
Okay, problem solved I think. A friend gave me a much better wiring diagram and helped me sort it out. My Chilton's manual sucks when it comes to wiring schematics.
The red wire with fusible link goes to the blower motor relay connector at the firewall, and it was connected to starter B+, not the junction at radiator core support. The white wire with same type of connector is a tach output wire for diagnostics and is not used.
This is a great example why you don't want to wait for years to put your car back together. You just can't remember some things!

Correct and correct
Not sure why the B+ wire was divorced from the HVAC connector on older cars. Its got plenty of room
