Converting TPI engine bay fuel line to LS1

I know there is some information floating around here, but I wanted to see if anyone has run this combination when converting from a TPI car and using the LS1 return style rail quick disconnect lines.

I found the adapters in another thread, but noticed that they mentioned the use of a barrel nut or some such. I ordered the items below and the line I installed tonight seems to fit great and don't look like they will leak, but I omitted the barrel nuts:

2 X Russell by Edelbrock 658520 Red -6 AN 2' Hose
1 x Russell 640853 -6 AN Male to 3/8" SAE Quick-Disconnect
1 x Russell 640863 -6 AN Male to 5/16" SAE Quick-Disconnect
1 x Earl's 9894DBHERL -6 AN MALE TO 14MM X 1.50 FEMALE
1 x Earl's 9894DBJ -6 AN MALE TO 16mm x 1.5 Female
