LT-1 A/C hoses
Hello guys Im looking for some advice on a/c install in my 92 camaro.
I have a after market bracket for my a/c compressor on my 95 lt1 I got it from http://www.bowersrodshop.com/
What fittings/parts should I get to hook my a/c up? Im going to have the custom hoses crimped but I dont know what im looking for parts wise other than hoses. I plan on using all the existing set up (dryer, condenser, ect.) Would it be possible to use my old 305 a/c lines and just get them extended?

I don't believe the 3rd gen compressor will fit in that bracket, but my personal experience has a big gap between 1986 and 1996.

Re: LT-1 A/C hoses
The 3rd Gen compressor will not fit it uses a different style mount. I'm using the lt1 compressor, I'm just trying to figure out a way to hook the lines up to the compressor that is know located on the upper driver side of the engine. I am using all the existing thirdgen a/c parts such as accumulator, dryer, ect. The only a/c part in using from 4th gen is the compressor.

Re: LT-1 A/C hoses
I was thinking about getting hoses from a corvette, since it's basically in the same spot but the corvette hooks up a little differently not sure if I can make that work.

Re: LT-1 A/C hoses
I'm not sure what your factory AC lines look like, but you can cut the hoses off the hardline parts and have new longer hoses crimped on.. or have new lines made up.
I ordered the beadlock type fittings and hose from hotrod air and had them crimped to suit. I don't have the parts list for what I used, but it's not too hard to figure out. A place like Vintage Air has a great catalogue.
If I did it again I would have used the E-Z Clip type fittings as they leak less and you can assemble at home.
