Brake lines...
Hello guys...
I am going to run a 4th Gen rear, ls1 front and rear brakes, ls1 brake booster and brake master. UMI k-member, and racing innovation longtubes. Do you guys have any suggestion for a brake line setup or routing?? Proportioning valve? Aftermarket brake lines kit? Flares to look for?
any input accepted.

Re: Brake lines...
I don't have many answers for you but I'll give my input in case it helps even a little bit.
In my 1989 Firebird Formula, I've got a 99 Camaro SS 3.73 10-bolt rear, which replaced my 3.27 9-bolt rear end. I am still using the stock brake booster and stock calipers, pads, rotors, pretty much everything except the 10-bolt rear. Proportioning valve and all brake related hardware was a perfect match up to the 10-bolt rear.
The only thing that was different was the e-brake cable, but that is not very relevant to this thread so I'll spare you the details.

Aside from the usual suggestion of upgrading the rubber lines to braided lines. Are the original hard lines in bad shape? Sometimes its easier to buy a roll of line and make your own all new system than fixing the existing old hardware. Prop valve wise you have your choice for an adjustable valve or stock replacement which is easy to change as long as the fittings arent in bad shape either. Look at the brake forum about guys using both the ls1 booster/master combo. I think its more a cosmetic gain than anything else really...and I just changed the spring in the stock propvalve but havent tested out how strong the brakes are yet since Im in the middle of my ls1 brake conversion.

Re: Brake lines...
As long as I owned the 85 it pulled hard to the right under hard braking. I read it could be corrosion. They don't look pretty I feel better going new, don't care what style as much as just not 32 yrs old. I'll buy 3rd or 4th gen repros... I have considered something like a did steel Braided kit, maybe run AN fithings at each brake and master. I have heard people talk about different tyes of routing.
