5.3 Swap Fuel System Help

Hey everyone,

I am in the middle of trying to upgrade the fuel system in my 91 RS to support the 5.3 i am putting in. I bought a new sending unit for the 3rd gen tank and a walbro 400, which in retrospect is probably way to much for the slightly modified motor im putting in.

The new pump will require modification to work with the current sending unit I have. What are some recommendations on either getting a smaller pump or modifying the sending unit?

All advice is welcomed.

Unless you're going wild with the 5.3, a Walbro 255 TPI replacement pump should do fine.

The motor has been fully rebuilt, ARP everything, forge internals, LS6 cam, injectors, springs, and I had them set the piston rings up to support boost. My goal is to get the car drivesble this year and put a twin turbo set up on it next year.

You'll probably need more pump for twin turbo.

Yeah a 255 would be fine for now. Dual 450's if going twin turbo. There's threads in the Power Adder forum for dual pump install's and a single 450.
