Better luck next time. Street/strip after breakin period

its a long video but so much to post on. Between wrapping the car here and there, fixing the brakes, overheating issues .Ive been battling with the car on all fronts lately. Last minute I decided to join a bunch of guys for some fun at the track for some baseline runs. Before that happened a few nights prior I headed out to see some street runs but wasnt ready to make my own hits yet. I was just on the 2nd oil change, mac valve was down, and its been very hot/humid. I ran into quite a few cars on the hwy to toy with, lots more footage of that coming soon. However the track day i was on the fence of doing test n tun in the morning,if everything felt right..Id enter the roll race event in the evening. The car did not live upto the mph i was looking for.I tried a soft 8lb run.then 10..then about 14.Nothing gained me over 125mph and dip into the 11s. It was a very hot day and I knew this would rob me some power..but not the extent i was down over 10mph from last yr.I was not having a good day. I ran a blue corvette that really threw me off also with the track officials and the timing tree. They had mishaps of using the protree at times..false starts and late starts throughout the day. The super clean ford classic truck was a good run.I was expecting to get waxed by him easily but held him off.I logged all my run to send it to my tuner as i felt the car was severely down on power especially past 5000rpm.I wasnt getting the tingly feeling of topping 4th and maybe going to 5th and the sound didnt seem right..like I was hitting valve float.

After replaying the data we found some major hurdles..what else is new. car was pulling timing down to 10-11* it was soo hot in ect's,iat's and worst of all..my meth wasnt injecting when it was being commanded. Took me 2 days to pinpoint the meth controller itself had a short on the circuit board which is my 3rd warranty claim of the controller from aem *-* I also need to direct more air in the engine bay and back out. I do not have any of the factory plastic shrouding that used to be there and a badly bent airdam. But now i have more things to fix that will only make the car that much better.Heres the video, and hopefully next outting at the track we gain some mph again.

Would just get a donor front bumper and crash support, cut them open to allow for more air pre-FMIC. I did exactly that awhile back and it has helped out tremendously with the IAT's, and it almost looks factory. Kept the originals, and nothing was cut, so the purists can relax and just breath lol. Was also going to suggest a Cowl Induction hood, but you already wrapped the stock hood so it would defeat the purpose...
