Heh, I just stumbled onto this thread! I posted these over in the V6 forum recently because I just got her repainted. My wife bought this car new loooong before I ever met her, and it's only got 74k miles on the clock. We still have the original window sticker, owners manual, introduction cassette still wrapped in plastic, etc.

LOL, yup its there, it wouldnt be the same without it either, i photoshopped it out once, it looked like crap, i love that thing, when i get it re-painted im going to get that pinstriped on, rather than the sticker that it is now.. maybe have it start as the two fine lines and end up near the end of the car as a checkered flag...
yea my striping started falling apart and getting cracks in it so i had to redo it....went and got a silver double stripe instead of the old gold color that it used to have on it....gotta say that it doesn't look quite as good as without the stripes, i really like the way the stripes just...set it off....i feel good about it too bc i did the striping myself and if i may say so myself it turned out quite well...here's a pic (it's a Z please dont delete my post....it's for a good reason )

i just thought it was funny how everyone says they are sick of the z28's getting all the attention but just about every rs in this thread is almost always has all or some z28 parts on it.

That's a pretty broad statement - I know I've certainly never said that. I don't get tired of any thirdgens.

Do a search on it in the exhaust section...

I layed out all the pics necessary to duplicate it on there after the exhaust was finished.

they are called 280 milans, and yes they are basically cobra r's except made for 4th gen camaro's and firebirds. Just had to get some spacers made and the wheels fit fine.

They look good bro.
I have a set of the Cobra R wheels (Ford) and have been wondering what they would look like on my Camaro.

Thanks man. It took alot of time, money and planning. The paint code is Dupont Pepper Gray Metallic actually, but you're right, with a red interior it wouldn't look good.

Damn that is one beautiful picture!!!!

You could take the crappiest third gen (not saying yours is, just making a statement), and get a nice camera, get some broad coloring, and take the most perfect picture and it would look 10x better.

There's nothing more pleasing than seeing a 3rd gen in some industrial area or parking lot or city street with a nice backdrop.

Very nice job!
