Headlight Housings?

I can't figure it out. When I had my 91-92 Z hood put on and painted I had the headlight housings painted flat black. I find them to be aggravating because they spot up too easily and look too dull. I've tried wax and the whole nine yards (complete detail freak) but do ya'll prefer them with gloss black or flat black?

Re: Headlight Housings?

I'm guessing that satin black is the answer.

Re: Headlight Housings?

Factory trim was satin black, not gloss.

Re: Headlight Housings?

same as the hood blisters? i dont call that satin its semi gloss to me and the reason my headlight trim rings are shinier then the headlight buckets and hood blisters is because there metal and not plastic or fiberglass, and my hood blisters got dirt in the finish when i painted them :L but i see satin black is more of this

Re: Headlight Housings?

go gloss black it looks VERY nice, i had flat black it started to look bad after awhile, went with gloss black makes the car look way more sharp, would never go flat black again

Re: Headlight Housings?

It's supposed to be semi-gloss. Go buy some 3m semi-gloss vinyl from ebay (the quality stuff) and just put that on it.
