Any tips for a show???

So I am taking the Z to my first car show this coming weekend. I have been to shows but never personally entered my car. Any tips for a rookie as far as detailing or anything special I need to do when I get there.

can you post up some pics of your car? not sure if you have yet or not, if you have give me the link! and good luck with your first show, just make sure to have something to give it a quick wipedown when you get there for dust if your driving it there!

When you get to the show use some tire spray on a rag and wipe the inner wheelwells (the black plastic parts) or if you use tire foam, you can also use 2001 or Armor-All. Don't forget door wells and underside of doors, hood and trunk. Also, don't forget the little slot or well on each side where the hatch comes down. You probably know this, but ALWAYS use clean microfiber towels and avoid "dry wiping" as much as possible. Use a quick detailer for lubrication when wiping it down when you get to the show. Another thing that helps when you first start doing shows is a checklist for when you get there and before judging go over it and make sure you hit everything. Without pics I can't really tell you much more. I do local shows and STARS and do quite well. It is definately the attention to the little things that make a difference. Good luck with the shows and remember it is the fun of it, don't get caught up in the trophy part too much. I did at one point, but in reality all they are in the end are dust collectors.

Make the blacks black. Nothing looks better than a nice black accent. Nothing looks worse than faded out "gray" lookin' black trim. I use Back to black by Mother's.

...and I detail the ENTIRE tire. Not just the sidewall. Just make sure you don't get on the throttle too hard when leaving the show!!!!!!!!!
