My 3rd camaro resto..taking what i learned and trying to this one right

Ok to start off..this is my third third gen. I had a 1992 camaro z28...redid that car over, rebuild the motor, redid the interior etc etc. Car ran well and came out pretty good. But some things i did alittle half assed (crappy carpet work and the new motor smoked on start up haha). I then had a '88 iroc -z with a 383. I redid the interior on that guy and was finally happy with a carpeting job for once...came out pefect. However i sold that guy because i got into bikes for the most part. Now onto this guy, it's a 1991 camaro RS, and my first tbi car. I found the car online about an hour from me and went and looked at it. The guy never mentioned the car had been wrecked on the phone and when i got there i realized it had some pretty nasty frame damage. I scanned over the car...inspecting areas that I KNOW rust out on these cars...car was spotless. To top it off i was looking for a cheap tbi car to build (basically i wanted something that would challange me, the 92 and 88 were both tpi cars and i decided i wanted to take the slowest of the camaros and see what i could do with it) which this car was and to top it off i was hardtop AND had no power options. So after pointing out the car needed alot of work i picked it up for 600$. I drove it home from saint cloud as was and it made the trip without a hitch for the most part. I knew my friend had a firebird sitting in his garage that was rusting away and he planned on junking it after removing the ford nine inch in it. So i asked em if i could hack the front end off that car and he said i could. So i removed the damaged area off my car and was just going to weld the new clip into the car, straighten it out and drive it. That didn't last long as i decided after yanking the valve covers that the motor needed to be freshened up. So it was pulled and that pretty much leads me to where i am right now. I just got the block back from the hot tanking and should be reassembling the motor soon. Anyway to break up this ridiculously long story...Here are some pictures i took after removing the fenders, poor excuse of a front end (thing looked it it was in a fire, so i threw it away) and hood...

You can see here how the frame kind of buckled after the hit...

After dissembling the motor and sending the block off...i decided to focus on the engine bay. I first addressed tha buckled area...I cut out from the top and then took a long pipe and pulled the chassis as straight as i could get it.. then made a new plate out of steel and welded it in (first big project after learning to weld)

And here are some photos of the engine bay after cleaning it up...sand blasting the k member and repainting...

I'll update it comes along. The motor is staying 305...081 heads, comp bumpstick, edelbrock tbi manfiold, holley tbi, heddman headers and y pipe, dynomax catback and all tuning will be done by me. I'll update soon, this is more then enough to read for now

Nice job you're doing there. And a real nice price for the car. Keep the pics coming!

Great progress and keep us updated, I have to say I have never heard of anybody speaking of their car in a masculine way I call my cars her or she, nothing wrong with what you call yours, but this is a first

lol masculine way? How so? I usually call my cars by she or her as well. I didnt even realize...what did i do call it a "him"? I was typing so fast not to mention this keyboard is a piece of **** and it occassionally leaves out letters for whatever reason. Haha...well if it makes you feel any better guys...the car's name is isabella

ah wait i see it now...when i said "onto this guy" i didnt even realize i typed that..o well
