Re: whata waste
yea but some of those valuable parts are going to waste .
like if its in a movie you know thier is always more then of the same car getting destroyed for a scene,
example the black super charged charger in the fast and the furious or the the 1st gen "yenko" camaro in the the second f&f.
or the cheville in War
and these are to name a few.

This really doesn't have anything to do with Third Gens being destroyed, but one thing that gets me is how most of them have seemed to have dissapeared over night.
I remember back when I got my first Camaro when I was in high school back in '94 there were literally tons of them around. Heck, the Chevy dealer in my town still had used ones on the lot for sale! Granted most of the ones I remember seeing were the '91-'92 body style, but I still recall seeing alot of Iroc's and mid 80's Z28's too.
I worked at a grocery store while in high school and there were 4 or 5 of us that all owned third gens. Then all of a sudden they seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. Maybe it's not like that where you guys live, but it is here.
Last summer I had my car out and I was driving through town and there was a little kid, probably about 8 or 9 walking with his mom and as I passed by he stopped and pointed at my car. You would have thought I was driving a Viper or something by the way he acted. Then I happened to think, "well, as young as he is this could be the first time he's ever seen one of these cars."
It's like that with the 5.0 Mustang GT's from the late 80's early 90's. I may see one every once in a blue moon. It's kind of sad that all these cars we grew up with are slowly fading away.

Re: whata waste
my favorite thirdgen Ive ever seen get wrecked in a tv show is walker texas ranger (I think). anyways, the guys driving a 4th gen, then he has to jump it so they switch it to a thirdgen real quick, then after the jump they switch it back to a 4th gen. it was pretty funny.
