So far this is my interior, New Dash (Well used actually, but mine was once a texas car and my old dash looked like a road map, 3D and everything! Lots of cracks to say the least), New Tach (Nothing wrong with the old one, just liked the look and it was easy to install because I don't have rear defrosters), and new center console with new heater controls and new radio (there was also a thief in texas where it was from that decided he need my heater controls and radio, and to add insult to injury he ripped it all out effectively destroying my upper bezel and cage surrounding it.) But now I have a nice alpine there, and it sounds great!

 

These three are of my new H4 converted low beams, (weird pattern right in front of the car but otherwise work incredibly.) Second is a side view of my beat up paint but otherwise rust free body. And the third is of my H4 conversion, with the weird little projector in there, looks cool to me, and they work pretty good so I have no complaints. The only thing I did was install them upside down because I didn't want the city light at the bottom, and I rewired the harnesses myself. Also as a rule I sealed them myself with silicone on the lense, and on the back around the rubber surround I used vaseline to keep a good seal from dust and particles.

 

Damn guys, I know the exterior paint sucks, but I didn't expect you all to be speechless, that hurts more than getting flamed I think lol.

i don't like the tach....if you're going aftermarket, put a quality one in it, and the placement is too brash...i'd like to see it go under the vents.

everything else is lookin' better though. the alpine head unit is the same i have in my 84 bird. it's a nice piece, i think you'll like it.

 

I was just cracking a joke about the no response thing . As for the tach, it's a bit funny you say that cause I want a VDO pretty badly, but this one was free so I wanted to see if I liked it. I do like the placement though because you can't see it from outside the car. Although under the vents is not a bad idea at all. I'll play around with it. As for the radio, I used to swear by premier, and when I got this alpine I felt like my ears were a lot happier then they had been in a long time.....
