Hey- Quick ?- I want to change the yellow part on my rear tail lights to red. Does anyone know if this is legal and whats the best way to do it? I was told it is legal and just to paint and clear them with a transparent red? What do you think? Thanks for the help. Stu

 

yes it is 100% legal. i and many other people on here have done it. i did it with my car and also on my brothers 90 formula firebird.

theres a big thread on it, search.

i used testors translucent candy apple red spray paint...and i painted on the outside.

Thanks for the info and the pics. Looks great. I'm just not sure if I really need to clear them or not and if I can do it with the lights on the car? We'll see- think I'm going to try it soon. Thanks though for the info. Stu

 

removin the lights takes like 5min...unless u wanna tape off half the dang car.

 

Do a search. This has been covered MANY times before both removing the lens and painting the inside and just painting the outside.
