Re: Update on my build
The roll is 54" wide, I ordered 2 yards which gives rougly 6' x 5'. I should have enough... not so sure about the glue tho. This material drinks a lot.
Re: Update on my build
EDIT: I see hawks has what appears to be a NOS one for $90, in black.

Re: Update on my build
would love to see some updates on what panels you wrapped AND im afraid it will look out of place if theres some plastic and some vinyl..i guess more specifically, it would make the dash and center console look out of place.
nice build btw

Re: Update on my build
Quick update... The material is perfect in terms of touch feel, expendability and overall look. The problem is that when the glue cures, after a couple of days, it starts to lose its tack and the vinyl becomes loose and full of air pockets. So Im researching a new type of glue. Im still debating if I buy the Fastbond again (and put more coats on both materials before sticking them together) or go with another product. I ran out of Fastbond on the last piece I put together, and I have none left to test my multiple coats therory.
So I decided to put a hold and put my new engine together. Forged LSx here I come.

Re: Update on my build
Those kick panels look awesome. I'd really like to try this on the interior of my vert, maybe next winter. I shouldn't think it would be too bad considering there's half as much plastic to cover compared to a coupe

Re: Update on my build
i gotta say this build is pretty sick man great work u have there, i had question about ur side skirts, i know u had shaved the emblem on the skirts now how did u mount ur side skirt to the car i know there are clips in the rear and screws inside the door area but under the emblem there are screw holes, unless this was done on the car.

The center console could be wrapped pretty easily I would think. The dash, I'm not sure about.

It's gotta feel good to see the project nearing completion. I have yet to make any "real" progress on mine.

Re: Update on my build
SW long tubes with 3È collectors merged in the flowmaster double 3" to 4" single. No cats, 4" over the axle to a Magnaflow muffler. Honestly, I think its a bit too loud. I think Im gonna swap to a "real" muffler and open the e-cutout if I need it loud.

Re: Update on my build
@Spike-Z - is that the factory White paint color (Color code 40 or WA 8554)?
I have a white 1988 IROC and am trying to figure out the best shade of white to use.
Love your car, it;s a show winner.

I like how along with the shaved door moldings, handles, antenna, you also shaved the groove that runs across the back bumper....great attention to detail. What weight door poppers are you using? We all know how heavy our doors are...

Yes its a factory color. Artic White is the name of it but I dont know the code for sure. I used the '92 paint code. Its a very bright white, not yellowish at all.

Ill get the stuff. Thanks man
I only drive the car in good wheater, that means with windows down or top off. That being said, I dont really think it smells anything coming from there. My 4", un-catted exhaust smells a whole lot more. But hey, I guess its the price to pay for a fun toy.
