quad headlights to dual
hey,
so i found a website that has all kinds of headlight conversion kits for trucks and i got to thinking.
camaros have 4 headlights, and in the 90's, trucks with similar light setups switched to having 2 headlights that were essentially 4x12 in size.
does anyone know if this type of headlight would bolt into a camaro with some slight modifications or would i be looking at a lot more work
this is what i am looking at

the attractive part about the kits is that they come with angel eye headlights and projectors ready for HID lighting out of the box.
all it would take (in theory) is bolting it up
on a side note, in the 77-90 caprice classic, GM started out using a 4 bulb system and switched to a two bulb system in 1987 IIRC, so it couldnt be but so much more work since the car went mostly unchanged for 30 years

Re: quad headlights to dual
i have.. sort of the same idea.. im taking away the 4 headlights and making them one headlight. heres my plan, ill take out the low beams and throw them in the garbage. then ill get a harness for a 9007 style headlight socket, run the 9007 (dual beam) headlight in where my brights go. with the low beam im cutting it out (all except the outer frame) and running my cold air intake through there. ill put a nice screen on it and call it good. i THINK you can pull out the stock lighting harness for high beams out and install the 9007 headlight harness. should work.
but ive seen people take out the headlight and install taillights from a 90 chev pick up and use it as the headlight. couple picks floating around, im sure youve seen them youve been around for awhile.

many similar threads, mostly bad opinions. do a search and you'll find a lot, particularly searching for "1 piece headlights", and "headlights" in general.
