Use some duplicolor black header paint. The ceramic in the paint leaves a nice shine.

Re: 1991 Z28

Throw an air foil on there too. Makes a difference when using a CAI on the TPI. You could always use high temp Clear on it afterwards.

Is an airfoil really worth buying? I dont buy into them really making more power. Seems right up there witha "Tornado" fuel saver to me... Need dyno proven graphs!

Idk if its that much of a gain, isnt suppose to give better gas mileage?

Dam those bolts make a big difference on appearance.

Re: 1991 Z28

Don't know about performance gains but for the money, why not? It smooths out the air coming in toward the TB. After adding one to my CAI I had on my GTA years ago, the sound of the CAI got louder. I would assume that's because there was less turbulent air.

Re: 1991 Z28

When I built a 305TPI motor back in the day, I had 48psi @ idle. Once the 355 found it's way between the fenders shortly after the 305 grenaded, I used 52.

Re: 1991 Z28

So, the fuel pressure regulator showed up yesterday, and I got it set @ 50 PSI like I was told to.

Turns out I didnt set it correctly, and will have to redo it with the vacuum line off of the pressure regulator. I was also told by tech support now to set it at 45psi @ Idle... We'll see what that does! Thus far it seems like the problem has gotten better, but is still very clearly misfiring....

Re: 1991 Z28

New Fuel filter installed, and pressure was set to 45psi @ idle with the vacuum line disconnected as directed. The car still misses pretty bad, but is no longer backfiring.

I developed a new issue with posing my gauge cluster fuses. The previous owner made a cute rats nest under the dash for me to lose sleep over... So, I'll look into that mess whenever I get to it.

I just want to enjoy the car for once! Considering selling it and starting a new venture...

I'll say I had one block of zero hiccup driving with it, and it made me quite happy.

The problem still isn't fixed, but I'm cornering it...

I'd assume it will work fine. Classic industries sells quarter panels fairly reasonably. I've been looking at those...
