Hello, I am new to this forum and hoping it can help me on a project I hope to start soon. I have owned a 1981 Iroc Z with t-tops, the 305 t.p.i. and a 5 speed borg-warner tranny that I hope to rebuild soon. Does anyone know how many they made with this set-up in '89? This is a Texas car so it has no rust, has been adult driven since I owned it (since 1993) and has never been in a wreck, however it was a daily driver for awhile and I just flat wore the old girl out.

I hope he means 89, cause if not hes either on the wrong board or really, really confused.....

Ok, here's alittle bit more on my car. She is an 1989 Iroc-Z. She came with t-tops, manual 5 speed and the 305 with the T.P.I. intake. She is a single cat. exhaust. I bought the car used in 1993 at a used car lot in Whitehouse, Texas. I literally drove the hell out of her to and from work (90 miles a day) on average 4 days a week for over 5 years and she's been sitting up now a decade. I have had her out of the weather (in storage) and praying for the day when I can do something with her. I have since gotten married, been injured at work ( with the state of Texas) and was "retired". Money is tight but I really want to at least get her back on the road so I can enjoy her again. Any ideas or directions on inexpensive parts, tips, etc. would be appreciated. I wished I had the vin number, but I'd have to go get it and at this time she is in storage 20 miles from me. I will post it when I get it. Once again, thanks for this forum and the help I will recieve from it.
