84 "Z28" Project

Im not really new to the site as ive been on here before just never made an account. Picked up my second third gen after selling the first one. it was a V6 RS and wasnt that fun so i wanted to upgrade. sold it for 2,000 and bought this 84 i have now. Let me tell you it was a mess of a purchase... pretty much everything the car was advertised as was false. he said it was a 350 out of a vette.. he said it was a Z28.. and he said it was a 85 but on the title it said 84.. obviously this guy new NOTHING about cars so for the most part i cant blame him. I bought her any ways, hoping it was infact a 350 but i had my doubts. just didnt want this kid to have the car anymore and watch her get worse. got home and yep.. its a 305. but oh well. i ran some of the rpo and it was a dealer ordered car. it was originally blue and someone repainted her black. it was originally a V6 had "bright white wheels" and gfx package. now i dont think it was a z28 because didnt they all come with 305s? unless it was a package you could get. it has Z28 dash and everything... but i really dont think it stock as the front chin spoiler isnt correct for the year oh well tho lol
soooo it might of not have been my best purcahse but thats fine just wanted something to restore to pristine condition.
pretty much i need to replace the front bumper passenger fender and front chin spoiler. and i need to do a mess of body work on the car. and some fiberglass work on the gfxs since there cracked and would rather fix em then spend a ton for new ones. Im doing all the work myself. Not really a big thing as i work in a body shop and i do it every day lol. im going to stick with the black as its the easiet thing to do and i like black anyways. im going to redo my whole interior as it needs it and strip down the 305 and repaint everything and replace anything that needs replacing. the cars gonna be a driver but im gonna go as show qaulity as i can with her. over the winter im going to strip down the under carriage of the car and repaint and replace all the suspension parts and so on. im going to try and document everything and hopefully have her done spring of next year. well see how things go...

heres some pics as she sits now and how i got her

Re: 84 "Z28" Project

pretty much some things i want to do are

C6 corvette wheels
Most likely get rid of the rear 3 piece window louvers
probably get rid of the hood as i rather have a cowl hood
and im thinking of trying to do a flush mount exhaust that comes out of the side gfxs but idk yet. still have to figure out how protect the gfx from the heat of the exhaist and not burning and melting them lol
