Got another great deal on a nice camaro. As with my '91 in my sig, I found this on Craigslist about 85 miles from me and couldn't pass up on it. It's an '88 Iroc, almost all original except no motor/tranny. Paid $400. I have no idea what I'm gonna do with it yet as I haven't even started my '91, nor finished my '84. First pics are fresh off the trailer and it was absolutely FILTHY. I had to wash it 3 times to get all the dirt and grime and pinstraw off it. The last pics are after I got it pretty clean. The clearcoat is coming off the top and the interior needs redone + the drivetrain, but for $400 I couldn't pass it up. Here's the camaro ****....

Interior...

After washing it 3 times....lol

few more...

Came out better than I thought it would! Any pics of the cleaned up interior?

Thanks guys. Haven't touched the inside yet. I had some other stuff to do today, so ran out of time. I think the interior will clean up pretty good. The plastics aren't dryrotted. It will need carpet, headliner and the seats redone. The drivers seat has the normal wear on the sides. It was a 305 tbi car. I think it cleaned up pretty nice too. The guy has a set of single line Irocs in perfect shape that I'm gonna go back and get in a couple weeks for $100 + a complete 3" exhaust set up for headers. He has several other camaros, some completely full of parts that he's collected. He talked about crushing the other ones. I might try and work out a deal and save at least one more of them. 2 of them were 91 rs's that were fixable. I'm outta cash for now though.

No obvious rust from underneath. Underneath the carpet on the driverside is clean. That's as far as I've looked.Originally Posted by CaliChevyLover

Did you get the history on it? I think it would be great to find out about this car. Does it have a 9 bolt rear with discs?
Nice find, I like that color too

That thing is sweet! It's just like mine....but Ive got the iroc wheels!!!
I really don't know much history on it at this point. He had bought it for his wife and started to convert it over for a carbed engine. He changed the gas tank and lines. Then his wife found a 92 anniversary Z28 and he bought that and stopped working on this one. I believe it's a California Van Nuys car. It has NO options. No PW, PL, Tilt, Cruise, PM, drum brakes on rear, etc... He does have a perfect set of 85-87 Iroc wheels that I'm going back to get and a brand new 3" flowmaster exhaust complete from the crossoverpipe (for headers) back. Like I said, he has several other camaro's and they are all stuffed full of parts that I may try and buy to resell. I'm just tapped out for a couple weeks. I'd be suprised if he's not a member on here because he has so many 3rd gens.

He had 2 - '92 Z's that were not for sale, but everything else was. There was more than that, but is was starting to rain, getting close to dark, and I was getting slap ate up by mosquitos, so I kinda got in a hurry to get this one loaded and gone.
This 88 was his best, most complete car.

Perfect Candidate for an LS Swap with a Cyber Gray Metallic Paint job
The B4c was primered over and missing the front bumper cover. You could still see the number on the roof and "Doraville Police" on the hatch coming back through the primer. It had a factory roll bar in it. It is very fixable and I believe for sale.

I know right. My truck will be paid off in 8 more months. After that, I will have more cash for the camaro stash that's piling up in my garage/basement.Originally Posted by BlueMagicSS

Is that originally a 350 car?
Looks like a very solid roller for only $400, and would be an awesome car with in LSX in it. Very nice score.

No, I believe it's a 305 tbi car. He has switched the gas tank and fuel lines over to run a carb'd engine. Also said it ran great before he took the drivetrain out. Originally Posted by puma1552

update?
I did get all the interior cleaned out. I wound up just tossing the carpet in the rear. It wasn't worth the effort to clean it. Glad I did, caust I found a license plate screwed to the floor where someone changed the fuel pump out. LOL. Real safe. I'll get more pics this w/e.

actually I'm trying to swap a V8 into my 6, what parts should I snag off this guy? I don't have too much money and I already told him I wanted the sway bars
That's a good deal for a complete car. I'd buy the whole car. Get what you need/want and resell the rest. That way, your parts are free.

Congrats!!! I love grey IROCs...I looked for years for mine, a 350/t-top/grey IROC. Good luck with it...
Appreciate it. My 15yr old daughter is trying to lay claim to it. lol
Supreme Member
let her claim it....and make her do the work to get it on the road again....
I told her she could have it if she wanted it. But she'll have to get in there and get dirty with me.

Awesome find. I'd also like to go check out this guy's for sale items. Does he still have a list on Craigslist?
