back from certain death
I don't post often, but I'm so stoked that I HAD to share. After years of being without a driving thirdgen, thanks to a teenage girl who didn't observed a large red stop sign, I am finally getting my '91z repaired. This isn't going to be a build thread per se, but I will update it with periodic photos. A little history- I bought this car several years ago if for no other reason than it was completely original and unmolested. A short time later came the sad day of the wreck, resulting in the attached pictures. But now the body shop has her and I got the call today that he has started working on it. Even once it is put back together, the tired motor of 200+k and tired suspension will need replacing, but none of that matters now. It is going to feel SO good to get behind the wheel of a car again that I actually enjoy driving. My slim hope is to have it back in time to make the trip to thirdgen fest, which I know isn't going to be reality. Here is what I will drive away with, for now- all new front panels including nose and chin spoiler, stewart stage 2 water pump, Be Cool radiator, and a walbro fuel pump. I'm literally counting down the days. Long live our thirdgens!

Re: back from certain death
I picked up some hood blisters from hawks. thanks guys. awesome packaging and the blisters are in perfect shape. which means I had an excuse to drop by the body shop and make a delivery of the blisters. last time I saw her she was in the air being treated to the walbro pump install. this time she was on the ground. and although I didn't here it for myself, I was told that...she's ALIVE! SHE'S ALIVE!! yeah, I know, kinda corny. oh, and I picked up a corvette starter for it. I figured why not since the front end is off of it anyway and it isn't going to get much easier to change. no pics, though, as nothing cosmetically has been corrected yet. more to come....
