Finally back into a third gen. 1990 Camaro RS
Well its been several years since ive been on this board. I would check in from time to time but ive been restoring my 79 Z28 over the last few years. Last night I seen an ad on facebook for the 90 RS. Said it ran but the trans needed some work. Body in good shape and interior wasnt too bad. $900. Had my dad check it out and he ended up buying it for me as a graduation gift from college / academy.
Paid $700 for it. I need to take some pictures but I didnt get home until late. The car is very solid and I even found the copy from the contract of sale from November 1989 when the car only had 137 miles on it. I thought that was pretty neat. Sold new about 20 miles from my house. My 79 Z28 was also sold at a different dealership 20 miles away from my house.
Its basically all stock. 305 TBI, 700R4 trans, white with red interior. T top. 15x7 wheels that are also white. Tomorrow im gonna try to clean it up some and see what im working with and will take pictures to post. -Matt

ive searched the car pretty good today. Peeled the carpet back from under the rear seat and found very minimum surface rust in small places. I didnt get done cleaning the car today.

Dang good score! That little dent ain't nothing to worry about. Whats your plans for it? DD, fun time toy, or stock resto?
That a Code 26 79? That has to be my favorite color on a late 2nd gen. I have a Code 15 with red that I'll be restoring soon. It's a bare bones no option 4spd Z28.

Its code 24 blue, I love it. My favorite style camaro.
The third gen is right behind it. Gonna be a DD and later on ill do some stuff with it. Stay mostly stock.
