Doc's Toy Shop 84 Z-28 project...
This thing landed in my shop on February 12 as a parts car, but after thinking it over I've decided to build it back as a daily driver. I'd thought of adding a third gen to my stable for a while now, and on this one the price was definitely right. It's an 84 Z-28 and originally had a carbureted HO 305 and a 5 speed which were both pulled for the previous owners project. Since I already have a warmed up '71 model 307 sbc and a T5 trans, that's not an issue.
The body is pretty straight except for the front fenders. This thing has more layers of paint on it than Tammy Bakers makeup. It even has a few gold plated accessories that will definitely have to go. The car has been sitting neglected since 1998 and the interior is rough and dirty but the car has no major rust issues that I can find. It has been hit in the nose and rear but sort of repaired by previous owners. I'll have some minor repairs to address on the front frame ends, core support, and some bondo on the left rear quarter. All in all, it's something I can work with and at this point, I have absolutely no cash invested in the car.... Yet
