Did you do any reinforcing to the middle section? Any flex? I'm curious how this will hold up in the long run.

No reinforcement to the middle section, but verry short noticeable flex. Overall feels solid. This was an extra spoiler I had laying around, so i just decided to do something different.

I think it looks good and I actually didn't see what was different at first. You're only using the outside four bolts, I wouldn't worry about it. To get the spoiler to work on my convertible I could only use the inside four bolts and it was fine on my cruise through the Vegas desert at 80 mph. These spoilers are pretty stout fiberglass pieces-- way stronger than my fiberglass hood.
