Just a little history and rundown of the ol gal and my current plans.

I purchased a lovely third gen off of ebay for apx. 2000$ and at the time did not realized what an amazing platform she was inevitably going to be. In fact it took several years of her sitting around to finally have the time to get her running and driving reliably. For the most part my complications were all in the cooling department and were very simple repairs such as her missing front air dam, her old radiator being quite gummed up, the prior owner not knowing how to properly time the old girl causing her to run extremely out of time thus very doggish and hot, and lastly which is still an issue that I have yet to resolve a wiring related gremlin that causes my low mode fans not to operate at 210. Since then I have installed the front air dam, Track Spec hood louvers and a nice Aluminum radiator. She definitely has no issues running without heating up now as long as she is moving lol. I also returned the timing for now to a base 0 and she got some of her authority back as well as much better overall performance. I still have yet to trace down the wiring issue with my fans but have a good idea as to where to look just not enough hands to do the job effectively atm lol. I just ordered her some Z rate tires which will be installed tomorrow to in effect get her closer to matching her stock RPO codes.

As far as her history I can not find much on her other than her first noted sell being in Illinois at 33,000 Miles at an auction. I do know she was an RS base with high back spoiler and Z28 trim and was Red from Van Nuys. The only change I can see other than repaint is the addition of Z28 badging on the rear bumper. I say all of this because it has pertinance to what I truly wish to ask you Ladies n Gents in the forum. I wish to keep this ol gal as close to stock as possible to maintain her value as a B4C as she is of very limited production and truly wish to respect her heritage as such. I am however thinking of getting a custom paint job that will in a way do more to honor our public servants and show off her heritage rather than returning to a stock red color. I feel this modification would be classy enough to maintain the overall value of her factory build all the while nice enough to bring more beauty to the car through recognition of its history and service.

What do you guys think of this idea. Should I toss in this tiny amount of flare to showcase a bit or play it safe with bare minimal modifications and maximize retaining her overall stock nature?

What would you as a Third Gen Camaro loving community prefer to see, especially you purists out there?
