Did I bite off more than I can chew....absolutely, am I going to lose my mind doing this....more than likely; but these are my boys and while I'm gone from home a lot for work I want to do something cool with them while I'm home.
So here we go:
86
Clean title
No engine
700r4
Clean interior
87
Salvage title
Needs front seats(rears probably need to go)
Needs new carpet
Was told it has the 350 and that it runs, haven't confirmed yet; also 700r4
Needs new plug wires and probably some other wiring
Needs interior plastics
Needs winshield and passenger T Top
So thats what I've established so far. Admittedly, I know very little about cars, I mean i can change my brakes/oil/plugs/coils, but i haven't undertaken something like this. I'm a blue collar guy though, so I have a whole host of tools, definitely gonna need an engine hoist.
I want to keep the 86 close to stock engine wise so another TPI engine would be preferable, at least in my mind. This is gonna take a while and I'd appreciate links and suggestions.

The 14yo and his 87
87 with 350 TPI, or so I was told it was a 350

Not sure what that black box is
Drivers side of the 87

Tail lights were in the trunk but the harness looks shot
Re: 86 and 87 IROC Restoration/Graduation presents
Ok so a trip to the local junkyard yielded front and rear seats that I can swap into the 87. Not the greatest condition on the back bench, but it'll do.
Tomorrow I'm going to make a trek for a decent looking condition L98 out of a vette. I know ill have to change the oil pan and get a harness/ecu.
