My 1985 Trans Am "project"
I just picked up this TA, Clear title from my brother. He bought this a few years ago to fix up but lost interest.
I just bought a 52" LCD TV for my living room so I swap him my old 46" projection TV for it...straight up.
It needs a ton of work, but it has a straight rust-free body (other than the spots you see, but it's just surface). It had a 305 TPI engine originally but I'm going to drop in a good used TBI engine. My 82 Corvette was in worst shape than this when I bought it....you can see it on my cardomain webpage.
I'm going to keep it the same color but maybe throw some 17" wheels/tires on it and sell the wheels that are on it. I know at least one is bent but the other three are good.
It's a good thing I can paint and do mechanic work

Wow smoking must of been a high priority on the previous owners list. I cant tell, is that 3 extra cig lighters under the dash?
Looks like its going to be a lot of work, but well worth it in the end. It saddens me to see cars in this condition.

It sat just like this since then and never moved before we towed it to my house last weekend.
And I don't smoke, so that kind of thing digusts me....and yes that's a cigarrete lighter receptical
My guess is one slot was for the radar detector and the other two were lighter back-ups
My brother was going to start selling parts off it.....almost broke my heart. I had a 87 Formula 10 years ago and would love to have this car to fix up so we worked something out.
