91 forumla build

So were currently rebuilding the 91 formula I've been driving. Motors coming out Saturday. And body work's done with the exception of the hood and a lot of wet sanding and waiting for warmer weather to paint. We're just going to rebuild the 305 back stock nothing special. Transmission was rebuilt a couple hundred miles ago when the third and fourth clutch package burnt up. And it's going back the factory blue.

Re: 91 forumla build

May I ask why you're rebuilding the 305? For about the same price, sometimes even less you can build a 350 and get that little bit of extra power and torque and have way much more potential.

Nice looking car though. Have fun with the project, that's what it's all about.

Re: 91 forumla build

We actually thought about dropping a 350 in it. actually have a 350 longblock sitting in the shop. But we'd rather just rebuild what it came with, it'll never be a track car just a daily driver.

Re: 91 forumla build

Well, it never hurts to keep it a numbers matching car.

Good luck on the build.

Re: 91 forumla build

Looks like a good start. I would definatley take the extra 20 minutes and pull that nose off before you put the motor back in. It would make it much easier and you dont have to worry about damaging that $$$$ nose..Looks good..
