have the TV cable adjusted as close as I can w/o line pressure gauges, carb seems to be dialed in, needs an alignment but I washed it for the 1st time tonight and snapped a few shots...

Re: its finally done!, over 3yrs in the making.......
Thanks for all the love guys!
as for the questions, i'll try to answer all in one post.
The specs are a sbc 383, 13.1: compression, dart heads, quick fuel e85 converted Holley dp, tuned on power plus's dyno made 600.1 hp @ 6200rpm all forged internals, nasty custom cam, trans is VERY BUILT 7004 converter is 3200RPM stage 4 stall by revmax with all of their upgrades. c5 vette brakes up front, stock sized rear discs in back with wilwood calipers
all stainless braid.
rear end housing is a 10 bolt, that has been gusseted, strange axles, auburn 4.11's and aluminum girdle.
hood is from Glasstek
I designed the paint scheme myself taped out the design and my painter lay the paint.
as for the green, its a custom mix I call dominator green. we too a 50/50 mix of hok neon yellow and "planet green" , bottom is Orion silver (hok) and top is bc25 black
clear is Mercedes Benz factory "standox" clear
I am a powder coater, so obviously everything possible is coated, suspension etc...
my wonder bar, springs and calipers all match the green, everything else underneath is silver, gray or black

uh, DAYUM!!
that thing looks wicked!! makes me want to get kicken on my 83 even more, only issue is funds.
for some reason those wheel spats (in front of the rear wheel ferrings on the front) do something for a third gen unlike any other year. gives it that extra something. you did like i did, used te 85+ grid tails, i still have my orig tails so i can swap back and forth but the grids look great.

Very nice combination of colors. I like it.... Is that Kawasaki's 'racing' green color? Looks kind like the color of my ZX9R!

I'm impressed.... awesome job
so how are you going to feel when you see half a dozen birds that copy your ideas? I could see that happening.. you've got great lines on your paint.

Great looking car, nice paint!! Another E-85 guy, isn't it great to have decent compression in an engine again?? Been running it about 3 years now with great results. Excellent dyno numbers, too!

Congrats on the completion of your car, I like the paint scheme and how you laid it out because it compliments the lines of the car. IMO though a 2" cowl would look way better, the 4" looks awkward on a 3rd gen.

Re: its finally done!, over 3yrs in the making.......
to get the stance I wanted I went through several sets of springs.
I started with moog replacement ws6 springs, didnt like the height (looked like a 4x4)
then went to eibach prokit (iirc) which is the higher of the 2 sets, then still wasnt low enough so I removed the rubber isolators above the springs in the front and left the rears, This achieved the subtle "rake" I wanted, then went to other set of eibachs as it still wasnt low enough.
I powder coated the springs the same green as the paint and now its right where I want it.
wheels are 17x9.5 in the back with 275/40's and the fronts are 17x8.5 with 245/45's. I think I want to go up one size in wheel to 18's this winter, but looking to keep a similar wheel design

yeah the hood is a bit taller than I would have liked, however the 4" is actually needed to clear the air cleaner (and thats with a drop base too)
funny thing is I originally planned for a 6" air filter as well

Re: its finally done!, over 3yrs in the making.......
well, been a while since I posted this, but like mentioned by a member above, it is never done!, the 10bolt died on me 2x and I snapped a ds and a u joint, so out they went and a nice ford 9" went in. went with a Detroit locker, and 3.70 gears to be more street friendly. Capped the rear off with 98+ f-body FRONT rotors and 4 psiton wilwoods to squeeze them the auto trans held up fine, but wasnt fun on the street so out that went as well in favor of a nice little t-56 and CF billet flywheel and 6 puck ceramic clutch. Being am '82 I had mechanical gauges so if I wanted a speedo to work, I needed to do more work, I decided on some custom gauges from speed hut, replacing both the tach and speedo, with them working on replacements for the other gauges to be available in the next few weeks.
Latest project is my 19x11 vette wheel score off tirerack.com. bought 4 hoping there was a reasonable way to stuff a 19x11 under the front, but that was a no go, so off 2 were sent this week to Eric Vaughn machine in cali to be narrowed down to a more reasonable 8.5", the rears however will stay 11" wide and will be wrapped in the new 305/30/19 Pilot sports I scored off ebay. To stuff the 11" rears I and doing some slight "tubbing" if you will and should be able to finish that up before snow flies ( I hope) Lastly, my 98+ front brake conversion will be upgraded to now having 14" rotors and similar wilwood clampers I am running on the rear but maybe in the 6 piston variety.
well thats it for now

Sorry guys been offline for a bit, (3rd daughter coming in a few weeks lots of house prep)
Added 08 replica black c619x11 rims all around, had a pair narrowed to 19x9 to fit the front to answer above, I used to own a powder coat shop but the project started well before and us still going.
Thanks for the love, have a super Christmas.
