just installed new headlight assemblies today. motors work how they're supposed to. however i don't think they close like they should.

the right light closes farther than it should. you can tell by looking at the turn signal. also it just looks lower.

the left light isn't as bad, but it still goes kind of low. i can't even put the black plastic around the right light because it hits the bumper on the way down.

i had to aim the lights all the way up as far as they could go, and the aim is still kind of low.

anyone know what's going on or how to fix? grrr!

 

people are looking, but no one has any ideas? somebody must know....

 

I really haven't played with mine much BUT!, it looks as though the bolt/screws you have on the bottom should be shimmed up and then move the unit forward a bit to compensate. Hard to explain...just keep playing with it. You'll get it eventually.

 

hmm...that could work. it's just weird because i got them from someone who had them on his 88 firebird. and he didn't have any problems. i didn't have any problems with my original ones either other than the motors not working lol.

you think if i mess with those stoppers would help any?
