I bought an 86 Trans Am two weeks ago. It has the 305 TPI, and is an automatic. This is my first Trans Am and I am already in love with it. I will post pictures of it soon. The only thing I have done to it so far is a radiator, thermostat, oil change, new battery, and correctly rewired the dual electric fans so they are not going directly to the battery. This will be a project, but a solid starting point. I look forward to any advice and information from all members willing. Thank you and I look forward to talking with you!

Wow that looks great!

keep us posted!!Thank you. I do have a quick question, after reading these threads for the past 5 hours, I realize two things. First, I work in a few hours. Second, I want to have some fun tinkering with this 305 TPI this summer. What are some ideas? TB coolant bypass. etc? I understand that it costs money to make power. I have built 9 second cars before. I am just looking for some ideas and know how for power adders to the 305 for now. Cam, heads, what have you. Also, interior parts I am in need of. Seats, console, the list goes on. And final question, I got into an argument with the DMV. They are saying this is a unique TA, so I have to pay more in title fees. I smell bs.
Here is the VIN. Have a great night and look forward to this project.

Run your RPO codes, the sticker would be in your hatch compartment on the drivers side when you open it or under your center console lid. Their are alot of things you can do, depends on how radical you wanna get.
Hawks sells the upholstery kits now in the factory pallex cloth. I would consider that before replacing the seats.
